I just got back from Vietnam.
And the thing that stayed with me most wasn’t the flight, the jet lag, or even the pace of Saigon.
While I was there, I spent time at Prime Steak Boutique & Chill, located right in the heart of District 1. It’s the newest concept by my good friend Khai Vu — and you can tell immediately this isn’t something that was rushed to open.
Everything feels intentional.
Vietnam moves fast — especially Saigon — but speed here doesn’t mean careless. People build while learning. They adjust in real time. Momentum isn’t loud. It’s constant.
Prime reflects that perfectly.
There’s confidence without arrogance.
Luxury without stiffness.
Craft without explanation.
And that makes sense when you know Khai’s background. His first restaurant wasn’t in Saigon — it was in Las Vegas. You can feel that foundation in how Prime operates: disciplined, thoughtful, and built for the long game.
It reminded me that the best experiences — whether it’s a restaurant, a brand, or a home — don’t need to over-explain themselves.
You just feel when something is done right.
If you ever find yourself in Saigon — especially in District 1 — make the time for Prime. Not as a checklist restaurant, but as a place to slow down, sit back, and experience something built with real intention.
Watching Prime operate felt familiar.
Not because we’re in the restaurant business — but because the principles are the same:
Travel has a way of widening your lens. And Vietnam reinforced something we believe deeply at REALIV:
Culture lives in the details.
Momentum beats perfection.
Big respect to Khai for building something special in the middle of one of the most dynamic cities in the world.
