This year’s festival will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and will once again celebrate the legendary Sierra Madre Wistaria Vine, known as the largest blossoming plant in the world. Each year, thousands of visitors come to Sierra Madre to see the famous vine in bloom, explore the street festival, and experience the charm of this historic San Gabriel Valley town.
What Is the Sierra Madre Wistaria Festival?
The Sierra Madre Wistaria Festival is an annual community celebration built around the historic Wistaria Vine located in Sierra Madre, California. Originally planted in 1894, the vine has grown into an extraordinary natural landmark. Today it spans more than an acre of property and is officially recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest blossoming plant in the world. During the festival, visitors have a rare opportunity to walk through the backyard where the vine grows and experience the incredible lavender blossoms up close. But the festival itself offers much more than just the vine.
