A Timeless Tradition
As a lover of golf, growing up as a kid February was something to always look forward to. Every year in February, the golf world turns its attention to the iconic Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California. This historic venue plays host to the prestigious Genesis Invitational, a PGA Tour event that has captivated fans for decades. The Genesis Invitational is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour in southern California, first played 98 years ago in 1926 as the Los Angeles Open. Other previous names include Genesis Open, Northern Trust Open and Nissan Open. It is often the concluding event of the tour's "West Coast Swing" early in the calendar year, before the tour moves east to Florida. As a kid, this was a time where I could go walking the fairways with my idols like Tiger Woods and see them do what they do best . This is also the only time I have been able to step foot on this sacred golf course which many pros say is one of the toughest courses on the schedule all year.

Riviera Country Club is renowned for its challenging layout, which demands precision and accuracy from even the world's best golfers. The course's narrow fairways, undulating greens, and strategic bunkering create a stern test that separates the contenders from the pretenders. With its rich history, this golf course is truly a masterpiece that I hope I get to play one day where I can challenge myself on one of the top courses not only in Los Angeles area, but ranked as one of the top courses in the state and nationally.
